Privacy Policy — Bayou Probability

Effective date: August 10, 2026

Bayou Probability does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.

What the app stores

Whether you've finished the intro, your app preferences, your saved or watched locations, and which optional premium plans or event packs you've unlocked. This is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it yourself. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.

What the app does NOT do

  • No accounts or sign-in
  • No analytics or tracking
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers
  • No access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or files
  • No selling or sharing of personal data — because none is collected

Maps and fonts

The map screen loads map imagery from a third-party mapping service (OpenStreetMap / CARTO), and the app may load typefaces from Google Fonts. Like any internet request, these include your device's IP address so the content can be delivered. We do not receive, log, or store that information; those providers handle it under their own privacy policies.

Probabilities and data sources

The current release shows illustrative demo figures so you can explore the interface. As live estimates are added, they are derived from public data sources and established mathematics. Bayou Probability is a read-only client — it never uploads information about you, and probabilities are estimates, never certainties.

Purchases

Optional subscriptions and event packs are processed by Google Play. All payment details are handled by Google under its own privacy policy — the app never sees or stores your payment information. The app only remembers, on your device, which items you own.

Permissions the app requests, and why

  • Internet — to load map imagery and, in future updates, live public data. The app requests no other sensitive permissions.

Optional external links

The app contains optional links — "Buy Me a Coffee," "Share App," "Leave a Review," and this policy — that open your web browser or another app. Following them is entirely optional, and those destinations have their own privacy policies.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of its data from your device. Because nothing is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete.

Children

The app is not directed to children and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
