Privacy Policy — Nightveil

Nightveil does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or any other personal information. Nightveil is a paranormal-mystery entertainment app. Everything you do in it — your journal notes, settings, and progress — stays on your device. Nothing is ever sent to us, because we have no servers that receive it.
Entertainment only
Nightveil is a work of fiction for entertainment. Its locations, cases, and "evidence" are fictional or procedurally generated. The Night Camera and EVP Studio are atmospheric mood tools — stylized, hand-crafted visuals and effects for telling ghost stories. They do not access your device's camera or microphone and are not real scientific instruments; they do not detect anything paranormal.
What the app stores
Your journal entries, settings, and progress are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They never leave your phone. We cannot see them, and neither can anyone else.
What the app does NOT do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No advertising, and no advertising ID is used
- No analytics and no tracking — we do not record what you do in the app
- No access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or files
- Your journal and settings are never transmitted anywhere
Permissions
Nightveil requests no special device permissions. Any vibration for feedback uses the standard system haptics.
Fonts
Nightveil styles its text with Google Fonts. The first time a font is needed, the app may download it from Google's font service, which — like any web request — involves your device's IP address. This is used only to deliver the font file; no account, identifier, or personal information is sent. Google's handling of such requests is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
Nightveil is intended for a mature audience and is listed for ages 18+ on Google Play. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Data deletion
Because everything is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of its data. There is nothing held on any server to delete.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
