Privacy Policy — Driftlands
Effective date: August 2, 2026
Driftlands does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or any other personal information. Your world, your researchers, and your progress stay on your device. The one exception, described below, is a device identifier that the game's purchasing system sends to its service provider to make in-app purchases work reliably.
What the game stores
Your world save, unlocked researchers and realm charters, coin balance, quest progress, and settings. This is saved only on your device, in the game's private storage. It never leaves your phone. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.
In-app purchases
Driftlands offers optional in-app purchases (researchers, realm charters, coin packs, and subscriptions). Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play's billing system — the game never sees or stores your payment details. Google's handling of your payment information is covered by Google's privacy policy. The game keeps only a local record of what you own so your unlocks work offline.
Device identifiers
The game is built with Unity, and its purchasing system is powered by Unity Gaming Services. To validate purchases and prevent fraud, Unity's service receives a device identifier (a random ID that identifies your device, not you) along with basic diagnostic information. This is the only data the game transmits off your device. It is sent encrypted, it is not used for advertising, and it is not sold. Unity's handling of this data is covered by the Unity Privacy Policy.
What the game does NOT do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No advertising, and no advertising ID is used
- No tracking of what you do in the game — no gameplay analytics, no behavioral profiles
- Your world, progress, and settings are never transmitted anywhere — the game plays fully offline; a connection is used only by Google Play and Unity's purchase service when you make a purchase
- No access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files
Data deletion
Uninstalling the game permanently deletes all of its local data. Purchase records are retained by Google Play under your Google account, as with any Android purchase. The device identifier held by Unity's purchase service is managed under the Unity Privacy Policy.
Children
The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Driftlands is a fantasy exploration game intended for players 13 and older.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
