Privacy Policy — Bayou Pill Reminder
Effective date: July 6, 2026
Bayou Pill Reminder does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
What the app stores
Your reminder times and optional labels (for example, "Blood pressure pill"), and your sound, volume, and snooze preferences. This is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves your phone. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.
What the app does NOT do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising
- No internet transmission of your data — the app works fully offline
- No access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Notifications — to show and ring your medication reminders
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — so reminders ring at the exact time you set (the app's core function)
- Vibrate — to vibrate during a reminder
- Run at startup — to re-schedule your reminders after your phone restarts
- Foreground service (media playback) — to keep the alarm sound playing until you respond
Optional external link
The About page contains a "Buy Me a Coffee" link that opens your web browser. Following it is entirely optional, and that website has its own privacy policy.
Data deletion
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of its data.
Children
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Medical disclaimer
Bayou Pill Reminder is a simple alarm utility. It does not provide medical advice, does not track dosage or medication interactions, and is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Always follow your doctor's and pharmacist's instructions.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
